Chakra-opening meditationIn today's spiritual practice community, the concept of “meditation to open chakras” is becoming increasingly popular. However, alongside it comes a great deal of a dangerous misconception. One of them is: the higher the chakra, the more important it is, simply opening chakra 6 or 7 is enough to become “enlightened” or “connected to the universe.”
But the truth is: when the chakra system is out of balance, you not only fail to develop spiritually in a real way, but also easily fall into a state of illusions, distortions, and energy disorders.
Not “the more open, the better,” but complete balance
The system of 7 chakras does not operate independently. Each chakra is an energy center with its own function, from survival, emotions, action, love, communication, and intuition to spirituality. If you focus only on a few “higher” chakras while neglecting the foundational centers below, you will fall into a energy axis misalignment.
For example: if chakra 7 (connection with God) opens too strongly but chakra 1 (root) blocked, you will be like someone “floating” in clouds of ideals—very spiritual, very philosophical, but unrealistic, lack of connection with the earth, prone to delusion and losing direction.
Conversely, chakra 1 is too strong, without illumination from chakras 6 and 7, you become a person who materialization, instinctualization, always charging headlong toward “money, power, and desire.” You may wear designer clothes, drive luxury cars, and speak politely, but the energy field, however, vibrates at a low frequency, like a bulldog fighting over food.
The misconception that “opening chakras” signals evolution
Many pursue “rapid chakra opening,” ask others to “activate chakras,” or meditate with the aim of only to see colors, lights, or strange entities. This actually originates from subtle greed in the mind: craving to know, see, and surpass others.
However, genuine meditation is not for opening chakras, but rather to cultivate the mind, nurture qualities, and develop virtues. When strong inner qualities, then each chakra will naturally adjusted, harmonized, and opened naturally — without force or attachment.
Chakras are not only energy — They involve integrating qualities
Imagine: you are trying to “open the third eye” (chakra 6), but chakra 4 (love) is not yet deep enough. At this point, you may begin seeing unusual phenomena—lights, images, entities—but if unconditional love is missing, you will fall into psychological crisis, fear, or going astray.
We share this not from books, but from genuine practical experience. When the inner world lacks a sufficient foundation, what you see may not be the gift, but rather panic.
Awakening meditation: Not opening chakras, but balance the chakras
Within the method Awakening Meditation, we do not speak of “opening chakras,” because “opening” often creates attachment—as if something needs to be “gained” or “possessed.” Instead, we call it balance the chakras – because when you return to practice with a clear mind, each quality will be nurtured:
- Chakra 1: root — Safety, stability
- Chakra 2: emotions — Creativity, joy
- Chakra 3: will — Strength, self-mastery
- Chakra 4: heart — Love, compassion
- Chakra 5: throat — Authentic expression
- Chakra 6: wisdom — Intuition, insight
- Chakra 7: crown — Union with the universe
One step at a time, a bright mind — bright energy — chakras adjust themselves. No forcing, no grasping for outcomes, no attachment.
Do not merely “open chakras” — understand yourself more deeply through Awakening Meditation
